As there has been some less than positive experiences with past WBLD I thought it would be nice to end this course on a high regarding these days. Therefore what does everyone think about posting our ideas of what we want/don't want and so take control of these sessions. I am happy to email our objectives to Jenny Childs prior to our first one in June to gain her acceptance. My suggestion is: That we use the round robins to structure the day with each of us bringing a scenario, a brief background, what actions were taken and most importantly what were the learning outcomes from this. The group could then link this to our "passports. If individuals do not have a case scenario then the could look out for a one ready for the following session. This way we all get a chance to speak, learn from eachother and reflect upon our own learning outcomes from this.........

I think that would be a good idea of applying what can turn into a bit of a moan (I'm guilty as much as anyone!!) into something productive.
I'd quite like us to try other ways of working - for me, one of the biggest ongoing issues in WBLD is that discussion often becomes dominated by the same few people week in, week out. For me personally, it's one of the reasons why I've just switched off - and I'd hope that people could be a bit more respectful that theirs is not the only voice in the group. Perhaps as a way of shifting things up a bit, we could try scenario based things in smaller groups and feedback together, so that everyone collectively gets some input even if they don't necessarily do it in front of the group?
